Sober centers offer support activities, recovery meetings, and a refuge from the “using” world. Usually they are started and supported by a group of recovering individuals and ask for minor donations if you are a regular participant. Some are supported by governmental funds. The most common names are the “Alano Club” and “(City or area Name) Fellowship.”
